The cat has a very thick and dense coat, sheds minimally, but requires frequent brushing. A common problem with flat-faced cats is excessive tearing and tear stains, so you need to wipe their eyes every morning and evening.

When we rescued Noodles, he was covered in a dirty, matted coat of fur. After being hospitalized, it took three days to shave him completely. Then, his skin healed and his fur started to grow back, but because his hair follicles were damaged, some areas grew very slowly. Now he’s so handsome, except for his tail which hasn’t fully recovered. We put in so much effort! We had to wipe Noodles’ face every day, and we kept blaming ourselves, wondering why we couldn’t get him completely clean…

When Noodles first arrived at the simulated family home (the cat house), he didn’t get along very well with the other cats, always looking like he was ready to fight, which made us quite anxious, considering there were already quite a few troublemakers in the cat house!

Unexpectedly, shortly after Noodles moved in, two more kittens arrived – Kiki and Fafa, two brothers about three months old. Noodles’ paternal instincts were suddenly awakened, and he transformed into a doting father, big brother, and male nanny, showering the kittens with care and attention. He played with them, groomed them, taught them how to hunt, and even stood guard whenever other cats passed by.

Noodles’ trust and friendliness towards humans are undeniable; anyone who has visited the cat shelter knows that his big head is the first thing he offers up for petting. We hope Noodles’ future home doesn’t have any adult cats (especially large male cats) or dogs (he’s encountered dogs twice, and was initially quite excited, but calmed down when the dogs did, though there wasn’t much interaction). He currently gets along well with kittens and enjoys taking care of them.

Noodles is waiting for adoption at the cat shelter, highly recommended!
